Lake Powell

So this summer has been a crazy ride. I have worked a TON and had some fun. I didn't blog about our trip to Colter Bay because there are just so many pictures to choose from. So I'm skipping straight to Lake Powell.
Powell was a blast! Hot, almost too hot, and great water all week. This is a picture I took the first night Beauty ain't it? See that mountain on the other side? Steph and I kayaked all the way over there. We worried Mom so she sent Dad and Jason looking for us...opps.
Here is some of the drive down, it wasn't too bad. But we got bored so here a just some of the pics i took.
Steph sleeping.
As you can see Kim is very excited.

Between Wake-boarding, wake skating, surfing, and skiing there were just so many pictures that I just put it all into a collage. You should be able to double click it to get it bigger.
If you ask Steph to hold your camera you are guaranteed to get a picture like this.
Kobe is pretty hard core.
Megan was basically like our designated DJ. She did a good job and as you can see she takes it pretty serious.
Awww!
I've kind of made this pic a tradition. If Mom and I are on the boat we get a picture together. I've been doing that a lot so I kept with it. Plus look we match, cute huh!
Taylor, Me, and Kim chillin in the front.
Jason and Taylor. Taylor Barnwell was one of Jason's mission companions. A really cool guy.
Taylor and Jason during tube wars...Taylor won.

Megan and I during tube wars. We didn't really battle, we were on the same team. But if it would have been a contest she would have won. I was weak sauce!

HARD CORE!! ha ha ha
Kim and Stephanie during tube wars...I think Steph won.
Dad's favorite thing to do is to make the boys go out and push rocks off mountains to see how big of a splash they can get. The boys did this a couple times so I just grouped together. There are others one from those who elected to stay on the boat and watch.
Sunday morning getting ready to go into church.
These are all on the way over. After this ride it really made me grateful for cars. Driving to church with the wind blowing your hair isn't too fun. But we played so MoTab (Mormon Tabernacle Choir) and it was all good.
This was Taylor's last day so we had to drop him off before church so he could begin his 7 hour drive. Yikes!
It was Kim's last day too, since she only had a 5 hour drive she came to church with us.
Capitan Dave
Instead of swimming and doing boat stuff on Sunday we went looking for Indian ruins. It took us may failed attempts and then on accident we found them. We hiked up and they were really cool.
Here is one of their houses (reconstructed of course)

It was a pretty high hike as you can see the boats below behind Steph and Me. It was really hot too!
We decided that this was a place of worship. It was cooler down there and felt really good!
All in all it was a great week! Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us and making it a great time. I hope that we were helpful and allowed you guys to have as much fun as we did!

P.S. My camera broke Monday morning of this trip (lame I know) so I am working on getting a new one currently. So hopefully I will get that before I go up to school. But if I don't just wanted you to know why it might be a while before I blog again.

Well, Peace!

4th of July weekend!

Having the 4th on the a Sunday allowed the celebrations to last all weekend. We started the celebrations on saturday by heading to Utah lake. Water wasn't good, but we found a cove that was good enough and spent the morning and afternoon there. It was a lot of fun!

For Sunday I made this cake. I was pretty proud of it!
We played a little basketball. Jason and Dad vs. Me and Mike. Dad a Jason won, but it was still fun!
Kristy, Mom, and Megan enjoyed the game from the sidelines.

Waiting for the fireworks.

Monday evening we got to join the Marsh family for the Oakley Rodeo.
It was a lot of fun and super crazy!!

Jason's Home!

So...the longest two years of a lot of people's lives are finally over!
It is true that Jason has returned home from London, England on Friday June 18th.
The kids made these signs for him!
This was the first meeting for Jason and Carson. It was really cute. Carson gave Jason a kind of shy hug, but a hug none the less. I know Carson will love Jason once he has a chance to get to know him a little more.

McKell Addi and Bosman all in their London gear. They were really excited for Uncle Jason to get home!
As you can see in the picture Jason was sure glad to see grandma and grandpa Daw again! As where they I'm sure.
He was excited to see Grandma Cavell too! She couldn't believe that none of us had seen him for two years! ha ha ha :-)
The Marsh's were nice enough to come. They even dragged Meg out...Just Kidding! This picture will be cute in the future wedding video ;-)
Jason was lucky enough to have more than just us there. The Daw family came which was super nice and fun to see. Jordan left for boot camp the following Tuesday. So we had to say goodbye to him at Jason's homecoming, until November at least.
The Reuling's were also nice to come!
Such a fun day and weekend. Good to have ya home Jas!

Memorial Weekend!!

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend in St. George and Lake Powell. Saturday we started the day off with driving to Lake Powell. It was such a perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky, fairly warm water, and warm weather.
Some did some hiking...others didn't.
On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely afternoon going to church then headed over to Squish Rock.
Dad you did it!! (Not really but he did do the end)
Kell and Addi made it through!!
Here is a kind of funny video of the kids in squish rock...sorry about the crumby filming.

The beautiful girls after their dance recital!
McKell was in two dances: She was a Water Fairy and a Dr. Seuss'
Addi was a beautiful princess all dressed in white topped with a gorgeous crown!
The kids with their great-grandparents! They sure are lucky that they have three great-grandparents healthy enough to come watch!
I sure do have the cutest nieces and nephews ever!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Yes it is true...I finally am updating my blog!

Anyway I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's and grandmothers in my life! I have some really amazing role models for the women that I want to be!

Unfortunately, my camera died before Grandma and Grandpa Daw arrived. But they came over and we all had a great time at dinner! Thanks grandma for being such and awesome Mom and Grandmother! I will always remember sleeping over and making bread with you! I love you and thanks for everything!

Here is me and Mom before church.
How do I even being to talk about my mom. She is my best friend! I know that i can go to her for everything and anything!! Her advice is super great and helpful. Mom always puts others before herself. I love you Mom and look forward to many more great times with you!!
Kristy, Mike, McKell, Addi, and Boston. Cute little family of five and soon to be a family of six. Kristy is a great Mom and I can't believe that she is already having her fourth! Thanks Kris for being such a great example to me. You have a wonderful family and I know that it will only get better!
Here is some of the group that was around on Mother's Day. Kristy is on the phone with Jason. We had a great chat with him and can't wait to see him on June 18th!
Just some of the fun things happing around the house.

This seems like a weird picture to have, but unfortunately this is the only one I had of the three of them. But Erika is a awesome mom!! She took to being a mother like a fish to water. It has been so fun to have Erika and now Carson in the family! Erika, thanks for being so awesome and a great example to me. I love you all and can't wait to see you guys again!

SPRING BREAK...and more

Megan and the Marsh's were nice enough to take me to see Brian Regan! I loved it! He is hilarious!!
This is how close we were. It was a blasty blast!
So for spring break Marlee, Steph, Kristin, and I headed south for a little warmth and sunshine. Luckily we got it! We went for some swims, met some awesome boys, went for a hike, and had a photo shoot. There are a lot more pictures and if you want to see them you can go to my facebook. There were just way to many for the blog. But it was a great weekend and we had a lot of fun!
